Felicia Carroll’s Webinar Series – Gestalt Play Therapy with Children and Adolescents
14.11.2022, 21.11.2022 ZOOM

What are the webinars about?

In a series of  2 webinars (3 hours each) Felicia Carroll will show you the essence of Gestalt work with children and adolescents. The competence and enormous experience of Felicia will let you embrace the approach and core principles that enable to build rapport.

The webinar in Gestalt Therapy with Children and Adolescents is designed to introduce the theoretical principles and clinical skills that distinguish Gestalt Play Therapy from other approaches.  The emphasis of this program will be on individual psychotherapy and the application of Gestalt Therapy principles represented in the work of Violet Oaklander, Ph. D., author of Windows to Our Children and Hidden Treasure:  A Map to the Child’s Inner Self.

Felicia emphasizes  that the whole process is not about our interpretations, assumptions and knowledge  –  it is not about what you think. It it about finding the way to let the child feel heard, seen in here-and-now; most of all, a therapist must learn to notice what the child brings into the process.

Webinars program:

Day One (3 hours):

  1. Foundational theoretical principles of Gestalt Therapy with Children and Adolescents.
  2. The nature of the therapeutic relationship and differences between child therapy and adult therapy.
  3. The elements of the therapy process developed by Violet Oaklander, Ph.D. and their relationship to the organismic cycle of experience.
  4. The multi-focused approach in Gestalt Therapy with children and adolescents and the primary goal in Gestalt Therapy.

Day Two (3 hours):

  1. Learn the five steps in applying the non-analytical, phenomenological method in using projective, creative modalities in Gestalt Therapy with children and adolescents.
